Jennifer & Tim decided to have their wedding ceremony a year before the big reception, which I am also looking forward to photographing. For this blissful beach ceremony, they invited just their closest family members to witness their vows — it was beautifully intimate, and the joy on their faces says it all!
A Special Place to Say, “I do!”
These two had many dates walking on this beach in Coronado Island. It also happened to be where Tim proposed to Jennifer, so it was a special and meaningful location for them. On their dates there, they always looked for unbroken sand dollars; however, they hadn’t been successful in finding them…that is, until the day that Tim proposed. When he picked up the sand dollar, turned it around, and saw that it was complete, he knew that the proposal was meant to be! (Sounds like something from a movie, right?!)
I absolutely loved how laid back their ceremony was. Jennifer looked absolutely stunning in her wedding dress, and she paired it with the most beautiful wedding “shoes.” She wore rhinestone barefoot sandals for their beach ceremony! To keep with the color theme of aqua blue, her father walked her down the aisle in a fishing shirt in the same shade. Tim looked perfectly beachy yet classy in his white linen shirt and khakis. Surrounded by family, they laughed and cried through the ceremony. In place of lighting a unity candle, they poured white and aqua sand together in their “Happily Ever After” vase. It was perfect!
Presenting Mr. & Mrs!
After the ‘I Do’s, we were able to capture beautiful photographs of the new Mr. & Mrs. on the beach. They had so much fun walking up and down the beach hand-in-hand and taking pictures with the cute signs they had decorated their ceremony spot with. I love that they wrote their names and wedding date in the sand. I just had to get a picture of it! They had a great time celebrating with family until the evening, and we were able to capture the most beautiful photographs of them kissing in the sunset. Congratulations, Jennifer & Tim!
